Hello, I'm Alex.

I'm a technology consultant, solution architect and product builder based near Manchester, UK. For more than 25 years I've worked with organisations to design, build and deliver software, from customer-facing products to the operational systems that keep businesses running.

These days I spend most of my time helping organisations make better decisions about technology and AI, and building a few products of my own. I care a lot about understanding the actual problem before reaching for a solution. Most of the interesting work happens there.

I founded Bytechaser as the home for my consultancy work, and I'm building AI Food Focus and Feedbakkr alongside it. I write here when something feels worth writing down.

I believe AI should support people rather than replace them, that practical tools beat hype, and that the right solution matters far more than the latest model.
